Welcome to St James Anglican Church Thornbury in the Parish of South Darebin.
Whatever your gender, race, colour, sexual orientation, social status or any other distinction, you are welcome at St James. We are an open, progressive, and inclusive community that reflects and acknowledges human diversity. We are a church that values worship, scripture and a reflective and thoughtful approach to faith and life’s journey. We seek to be a community of love embracing the values of justice and love for all. We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, traditional owners of the land on which we meet. |
The regular Sunday Eucharist is celebrated at St James on Sunday at 9.15 am. There will be no service at St James this Thursday 4th May due to the Funeral Mass for Lorraine Smith at All Saints Preston at 11:00 an. The usual Eucharist at St James will resume next week at 10:30 am. Our new priest in charge is Father Jonathan Jackson. He was commissioned on 15th February 2023 by Bishop Genieve Blackwell.
