Welcome to St James the Great Anglican church, Thornbury, which, together with the Anglican churches of All Saints, Northcote and  St Paul’s, Fairfield, forms the Anglican parish of South Darebin.

St James' services are in the Anglo-Catholic tradition (High Church) and follow the order provided in An Australian Prayer Book.  Music is an integral part of life at St James'. We sing a variety of traditional and contemporary hymns, drawn primarily from the hymn book Together in Song, and we also regularly have both a canted psalm with congregational response, and a sung Eucharist setting.

Our weekly services are:

Sunday  9.15 am  Sung Eucharist

Thursday  10.30am   Eucharist

Baptisms, weddings and funerals by arrangement with our locum, Fr Barry Fernley: 0421 903 390. Email: fernley2@optusnet.coma.u
